Affiliate policy

Affiliate disclaimer

I ran this site as a labor of love without any monetization for over two years. However, due to the current economic climate, I can no longer afford to do this. In order to help me pay for my time and the expenses associated with running Green with Purpose (this website), I have enrolled in some affiliate programs.

This means that if you make a purchase through one of the affiliate links, I will get a very small commission or referral fee at no additional cost for you. Posts containing affiliate links will be marked as such.

The price you pay is exactly the same if you do or do not use my links. There are no extra costs for you.

I believe strongly in supporting small businesses, so whenever possible, I will try to link to a small business website. However, because small businesses run a small inventory, the plants on offer may be out of stock for longer intervals. In that case, I will link to larger businesses or websites that keep a more consistent stock.

I recommend products or services that I truly believe in. If you chose to make a purchase through one of my affiliate links, I want to thank you for supporting me and my website.

Rest assured that all of the products and shops I link to have been well-researched. If I haven’t used them myself, then they have been recommended to me or received good reviews from other buyers at the time of publication.

Unfortunately, I cannot offer any guarantee that my recommendations will work for you. When it comes to plants, a lot of variations in a plant’s immediate environment (light, temperature, humidity, soil, water, air flow) can make all the difference.

You should know that when you click on links that lead to a third-party website, I cannot control the content on that website, and I will not be held responsible for another company’s content, their sales practices, or their prices.

Green with Purpose is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to products that can be purchased on Amazon.com. This comes at not extra cost to you.

The money I make from affiliate marketing costs you nothing but keeps me online, so thank you for your continued support!

Please do your due diligence before buying a houseplant or any other supplies. Some houseplants may be toxic if ingested (especially for pets and children). You can check the ASPCA website for a list of plants that are poisonous to cats and dogs

If you have any questions about whether a link is affiliate or not, please contact me through the contact form on this website (top menu).
